Shelley got Malia

Shelley got Malia at 3:00 p.m. on the 31st (China time)!!!! Don't they just look perfect together? I started crying when I saw her pictures because they just look like they were meant to be together- they are the best thing that could've happened to each other. Sounds like things are going really well. They took her to a cute restaurant, played in the hotel playroom, and I am sure surrounded her with love.

More Adventures

Of course, for the Andersons, it had to snow even in China. They can't blame the bad weather on me and Ryan this time. I guess the snow made the Great Wall pretty slippery so they couldn't go too far, but at least they got to see it. Sounds like they are doing okay with food so far, and they are adjusting to the time difference better than most people in their group. They are off to Guangzhou tomorrow and will get Malia the day after. Won't be long now!

We think Jude had already started teething. His drooling is getting a little out of control and he can't stop guming on his hands or toys. I think it's cute, Ryan thinks it's gross. It is unbelievable to think how big he has gotten (that is why I did the slide- to show how much he has already grown). Seems like one day he was in preemie clothes and now he is in 6 months! We have him laughing now. If I just say "Your crazy" he giggles, which then makes Ryan and me giggle. I think he is just laughing at me- thinking that I am crazy.

They made it!

Shelley, Mom and Dad made it to China after a long flight. They said the flight was bad but not horrible. Well- Mom and Shelley said it was horrible. Sounds like they are having lots of adventures already- Tianamen Square, Great Wall, etc. If you want to see my sister's blog with all of her updates go to: www.journeytomalia.blogspot.com.

Look how much he has grown already!

On their way to bring home Malia!

Well- Shelley, Mom and Dad are on their way to China to bring Malia home. We are all VERY excited. We can't wait to hug her, and hear about all of their experiences.

Aislinn is doing really well- sleeping, eating and pooping like a good baby! I can't wait to hug her, too! Check out more pictures of her and Garrett at www.baby-garrett.blogspot.com. Garrett had his 2nd birthday yesterday. He is getting so big. We have our webcams hooked up and love that we get to see him grow now. He played on his guitar for us the last time. Garrett loved sugar day- or should I saw Easter. He asked for candy, mom and dad said "what do you say?" and he said "thank you Easter bunny." We love him....

Easter was quiet for us, but reallyy nice. Uncle Qadree and Uncle Troy came over and we had a big breakfast- pancakes, muffins, bacon, strawberries, and turkey bacon (for Qadree). Then we all went to church together. Then we came back and ate candy, candy, and more candy.

Welcome Aislinn Marie Anderson!

Aislinn finally decided that she wanted to join the rest of us out here in the world and arrived at 8:45 this morning!!! It was a long night for Amy (and Jeff), but she came out happy and healthy. I am waiting for pictures of her and will post them as soon as possible (I have to give mom and dad a little time to rest). I can't wait to see my god daughter. I just know she will be perfect.

Our little guy

As most of you know, Ryan and I had a baby boy named Jude (or as we say- Jude the Dude) on November 21, 2007. He wasn't due until December 5th but came a little early when we went in for a procedure to try to get him flipped in my stomach because he was breach. Thankfully we were at the hospital in the labor and delivery unit when his heart rate slowed down and we had an emergency c-section (it was just like Grey's Anatomy). All went smoothly and he came out perfect.

We had a great Christmas- I cracked and made Ryan drive all the way to Minnesota so I could be with the rest of my family for the holidays. Jude was a trooper and did really well. Ryan and I joke that we didn't see him over the holdiays because the grandparents and aunts and uncles were holding him the whole time.

Then we got snow, snow and more snow this winter. Jude and I were trapped for a while in the house, but we enjoyed watching The Today Show, Ellen, Oprah, and anything on HGTV or TLC (and yes- I did have to tune into a made for tv movie or two- but only the Christmas ones).

I started a new job on Monday and Jude started daycare. So far, so good on both of those. I finally got out of K&M- they were not nice people. And Jude finally gets to meet other people besides his crazy mom and dad who just stare at him all day (and make him do tummy time).

I am proud to say that we have more good news.... Shelley will be bringing Malia home on April 11th! Ryan and I are so excited (or as Shelley would say- we are shaking we are so excited). I can't wait to meet her. I am in love with her already after just seeing her picture.

We are also waiting for news (any day now) for baby Anderson. Jeff and Amy are hoping sooner than later, but we all know that babies decide to come when they want. In the meantime, we hope that Amy does okay with those good ol' contractions and hugs Garrett for us.
